A legacy of legal excellence spanning more than five decades in Ghana.
Professor Emeritus W. C. Ekow Daniels and Lawyer Mrs. Janet Daniels first met and became acquainted while studying law at University College London.
Following a successful courtship and marriage, the couple relocated to Ghana, where they were both enrolled as barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court. Together they founded Jan Chambers, beginning a legacy of legal excellence.
Ekow Daniels later joined the Faculty of Law at the University of Ghana, Legon, as a professor. Janet Daniels was appointed assistant editor of the Ghana Law Reports and later became the founding editor of the Ghana Law Review, a position she held until her retirement in 1976.
Since its inception, Jan Chambers has progressively expanded, offering a legal team composed of highly skilled, internationally trained lawyers with a broad range of expertise.
The Chambers has built a strong reputation for its ability to provide effective, solution-oriented legal services to leading institutions across Ghana.
In June 2024, Andrew Daniels assumed leadership of Jan Chambers, bringing a distinguished academic background with an LL.B. from the University of Buckingham and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Law from the University of Dundee. As a qualified barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana, Andrew is dedicated to advancing the legacy of legal excellence established by his esteemed parents.
